Reunion

When Mina was well enough to walk, Lyra brought her to the Archive. Mina’s breath caught at the sight of the orb, hovering in the soft glow of the chamber, surrounded by Skyline’s intricate threads.

The orb dimmed, as if bowing. “I’m sorry,” it said, its voice resonating in Mina’s mind.

Mina stepped forward, her hands clasped tightly. “I’m sorry too. I didn’t listen to you when you warned me.”

The orb’s light brightened slightly. “We have a lot to learn.”

Lyra watched from the doorway, arms crossed, her expression unreadable. “Then start now. But this time, you listen to each other. Understand?”

Mina nodded. “We will.”

The orb pulsed in agreement. Together, they would find the balance—between guidance and freedom, courage and responsibility. It was only the beginning, but both were ready to face the challenges ahead, one step at a time.

Lyra turned, her lips curving into a faint smile as she left them to their work. Behind her, Skyline’s threads shimmered faintly, weaving a future where harmony between human and Creche was more than just an ideal—it was a possibility.
